I thought it had a suction cup mount for multivessel use, but now have to use stainless screws to mount in on the console.Other than than, fits nicely and holds the GPS firmly. Good, solid product.
No problems with salt spray and the gps shifting out of position. Once set properly it holds the gps in place at the correct angle. Great little mount I'm surprised that this mount takes the abuse it does. I've got it mounted on the dashboard of my power boat and I've not had any problems with it so far.
I bought this to mount on a Jet Ski, and I was surprised at how well it works despite it's size.
I have not yet mounted this on my boat, but it seems this will do the job nicely. The marine mount for the GPSMAP 76 (and other models) works as advertised.
(Amazon has these too). BUT. there is now a MUCH better solution -- the RAM (brand) mounts are MUCH better. theoriginalsubguy has it right. I bought one -- They make this Garmin product obsolete. Works "OK" but the locking mechanism comes loose and has to be supplemented some way. I bought this for my ATV and Snowmobile. I made a little rubber stopper to solve the problem on mine.
